Professional History:
Dr. Tara graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2002. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Rho Chi National Honor Society. She also earned her Bachelor of Science Degree at Old Dominion University in 1997.
She has worn many hats in the pharmacy arena from her early years as a pharmacy technician in a hospital to her current job as clinical pharmacist for KDI Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Kerr Drug.
After battling an infant with colic, Dr. Kompare decided it was her new mission in life to help out other parents in the trenches. She rediscovered the wonder of working with words and the powers of laughter which led to the launch of her entertaining family health care column, "The Medicine Mom."
